The primary mission of the C.A. Pound Human Identification Laboratory is to provide forensic anthropology (skeletal examinations in a legal context) for medical examiners and coroners. The laboratory provides field and laboratory-based education and training to graduate students, law enforcement professionals, medicolegal death investigators, scientists, and the science-curious public. Our laboratory, personnel, and research programs serve medical examiners, death investigators, and private citizens throughout the state of Florida.
