NACA – ACO III CERTIFICATION

This is a two part course that includes 10 hours online and 3 days in person. Students MUST complete the online portion first and bring your Certificate of Completion for attendance to the Workshop.

Course Description

The wait is over! Join the NACA ACO III Advanced Training Program focused on animal crime forensics with an emphasis on compassionate animal control work. Elevate your skills in investigating and addressing animal cruelty cases while promoting humane treatment and care to people and pets.

Course Structure

Our program consists of two essential parts:

  1. Online Course
  • Duration: 10 hours
  • Must be complete by end of day, January 6th, 2025.
  • Cost: $495 (includes online course and in-person workshop, excluding food, lodging, travel or transportation)
  • Certificate of Completion required for attendance to In-Person Workshop.

Curriculum:

  • Community-Based Response to Non-Criminal Cases
  • Understanding Probable Cause for Animal Crimes
  • Using Data for Field Services
  • Leadership
  • The Do’s and Don’ts of Investigating Crimes Against Animal

2. In-Person Workshop (Limited to 40 students)

Curriculum:

  • Documentation of Crime Scene, Scene Flow, and Processing + Mock Crime Scene
  • Investigation of Complaints (Hands-on BSC Scoring and Mock Scenes)

  2. Earn your certificate
  3. Attend in-person workshop, January 13-15 at UF’s TREOO Center.
  • Registration for the workshop is automatic upon passing the Part 1 Final Exam (online).
  • Register and bring your online certificate to attend our hands-on in-person workshop.
  • Enhance your practical skills in a real-world setting.
